The KOREA NETWORK UPDATE is a free monthly email newsletter highlighting Korea-related events, announcements, and news for the Korean American community and all friends of Korea in Oregon and SW Washington.

Greg Caldwell, as honorary consul for the Republic of Korea in Northern Oregon, began publishing the KOREA UPDATE newsletter around 2013 (now called KOREA NETWORK UPDATE). Since then, the newsletter has grown into a popular source of information on Korea-related events and news in Oregon and SW Washington. Greg Caldwell retired from his position as honorary consul at the end of 2023. We are grateful to Greg for creating and publishing the free, volunteer-driven, apolitical communication that serves and supports the communities of Korean Americans and friends of Korea. We are delighted to have Greg as an advisor to the newsletter. We strive to further Greg’s efforts to build and strengthen connections within our community.
